About

Pure, minimal, quiet and relaxed—These words best describe Bibi Monnahan’s design aesthetic. Her interior design style mixes investment grade, artisan made and mid-twentieth century furniture & accessories. Bibi’s work is a reductionist mix of comfort, luxe and elegance but always with an eye toward modern practicality—incorporating furnishings that are tailor-made to her clients’ individual surroundings, everyday needs and lifestyle. Her unique, highly refined set of skills and artistic vision has led her to curating for her clients fine-art collections of sculpture, glass, ceramics and photography.

Prior to establishing her interior design practice in 2004, Bibi lived in Paris and was Editor of the photographic periodical Black+White. Returning to New York, she was an integral part in establishing Furniture Co, a high-end furniture/design showroom—and later became Creative Director at Donna Karan’s flagship store at 819 Madison Avenue, New York creating the overall look and ambience of the retail store. With the aim to return to interior design with an emphasis on furnishings, Bibi later accepted a position as Creative Director at the Holly Hunt showroom in New York.

In 2004 Bibi started her interior design practice with an emphasis on hand selecting for her clients one-of-a kind pieces in home décor, accessories and art.

Bibi has an amazing editorial sense of style,
a fusion of modern fashion and chic.
